The Challengers’ headquarters, Challengers Mountain, is first shown in this story.

Synopsis:
June Robbins is working on a project with Dr. Fenton when a lab monkey apparently turns into a giant and escapes. June calls the Challengers, but when they arrive June is imprisoned by Fenton. The doctor wanted to summon the Challengers so he faked the monkey incident. He sends the Challengers on a treasure hunt in exchange for June’s life.

Ace and Red retrieve a chest from a high mountain peak. Prof retrieves a bottle in the sunken remains of a galleon. Rocky locates a gem in the jungle guarded by a gorilla. The Challs reunite and discover that the chest and bottle were planted recently by Fenton.

When they return the items to Fenton, Ace uses the gem to destroy the lab. The gem, when split into two halves, creates a powerful force. Unfortunately, one half of the gem is destroyed leaving the other useless. Fenton is captured, and June is freed.
