This story takes place chronologically prior to the first story of Atom #8.
Synopsis:
An art gallery guard is framed for the theft of a miniature card painting. Jean Loring is unable to prove the innocence of the guard, so he is sent to prison, but the Atom investigates. Atom watches as another gallery employee Afred Trask gases the crowd and steals more paintings. Atom tracks down Trask and brings him to justice, clearing the name of the guard.
