Comments:
Atom and Hawkman meet for the first time in this story.
Synopsis:
When the migration patterns of birds suddenly changes, Hawkman investigates the radiation responsible. While tracking the source, Hawkman meets the Atom and helps him stop some crooks. Hawkman then finds the radiation source called the Cosmitron. The device absorbs earthquake vibrations for power and can take pictures of the Earth. When the pictures are damaged, the area photographed is also damaged.
Members of an ancient civilization called Thalens use the Cosmitron to try and conquer Earth. Hawkman enlists the aid of the Atom to retrieve the device, then together they battle the Thalens. After the battle the Atom destroys the Cosmitron.
