Synopsis:
Superman attends a stage show in which Mento, one of the acts, pretends to read his mind and learn his secret identity. Mento goes to a gangster, Big Joe, to ask for money in exchange for the secret. He then frames Clark Kent as Superman’s secret identity.
Superman initially believes that Mento did read his mind, but after the phony shows his proof to the gangster, the Man of Steel learns that Mento is a phony. As a final test they shoot Clark, but the bullets don’t kill him. Superman later arrives to arrest the men claiming Clark wore a bullet-proof vest. Since Mento knew the stunt was a phony, he doesn’t realize that he was right the whole time.
