Synopsis:
Superman prevents the suicide of baseball pitcher Tom Marin. Marin explains that his career is in ruins. Superman helps by disguising himself as Marin and winning back a spot on the team. He also exposes racketeers who have been drugging Marin.
The racketeers strike back by kidnapping Marin before his next game. Superman once again is forced to replace the pitcher. Between innings, he locates the real Marin and apprehends the rest of the racketeers. Marin then successfully returns to the field.
