Synopsis:
On his first mission as leader of the Happy Braves, Johnny Cloud is assigned a new pilot, Lt. Tex Brown. Brown doesn't trust Johnny and during combat he is shot down, ruining the squadron's record for survival of first time pilots.
Johnny is then assigned to bomb an enemy target. When passing over the target, he sees a message from Tex. He lands and picks up the pilot, who though injured has survived. Before they can complete the mission, Johnny's plane is damaged in combat with enemy fighters. Johnny is blinded during the melee, so Tex must guide him by sight to shoot down the enemy targets. Once they return to base, Tex makes amends, and the squadron's survival record remains intact.
