Synopsis:
The entity known as Svarozhich has split Ronnie and Mikhail from their Firestorm persona back into human form. When they try to reform, Svarozhich attacks them. With the help of Soyuz, Ronnie and Mikhail escape. However, Ronnie finds himself trapped in Russia with no papers.
Serafina convinces Mikhail to bring Ronnie to her uncle Dmitri. Serafina plans to use her mental powers to protect their secrets. Dmitri however possesses stronger mental powers which he has long kept a secret. Dmitri agrees to help them anyway and makes introductions to Gregori Rasputin. In order to help, Ronnie, they ask him to tell the story of how Firestorm was first created. When Ronnie does so, Rasputin reveals that there were forces at work in the initial creation of Firestorm that were to this point unknown.
