Comments:
This story is continued from Checkmate #29 and continues in Checkmate #31.
Synopsis:
Winston and Lionel battle Bishop in the streets following their meeting with Victor Cypher. Both are able to escape by hiding in the sewers. When then meet Jack Wyznowski at a safe house in New York, he pulls them off the mission. Both men decide to try to take down Bishop themselves starting by breaking into Cypher's office. Their presence is detected and armed soldiers are sent to confront them.
In Washington, Valentina Vostok informs Harry that Harvey Bullock's command of Checkmate has been disastrous.
