Comments:
This issue is the final appearance of the Earth-1 Warlord. Though his later adventures appear to be a direct continuation from previous issues, the post-Crisis Warlord is considered to be entirely independent from his Earth-1 counterpart.
Synopsis:
After leaving the floating city of Skyra III, Travis Morgan and Shakira travel using flying belts. Shakira's belt malfunctions causing her to crash land over a body of water. She is then captured by the Balskraks and made a servant to their king.
Morgan goes after her. He is found by the enemies of the Balskraks who attempt to keep him as their prisoner. He steals one of their underwater sleds and escapes. He then goes to help Shakira. The Balskraks capture him and force him to fight in an arena where he defeats a beast known as Kraarg. He and Shakira then make their final escape back to the surface.
In Kiro, Machiste confronts N'Dosma, the man who usurped his crown. Machiste and his loyalists take back the thrown, and N'Dosma is killed.
