Synopsis:
Animal Man is put back together by two aliens. When he regains consciousness, Buddy finds himself on the African plain with Vixen. Animal Man's powers have returned with a heightened intensity. Before he can act on any of the new instinctual impulses, Buddy and Vixen are attacked and captured by Hamed Ali, a long-lived ape man.
Meanwhile back at home, Ellen Baker has forgotten her own children. She then vanishes without a trace.
