Synopsis:
Aquaman and Aqualad rescue a trapped diver. The diver is Jed Coomb, who is searching for a treasure chest. Aquaman agrees to find the chest for him. The sea king and his partner locate the chest in an underwater cavern and return it to Jed. Jed opens it to find two vials.
Aquaman realizes that Jed is wearing a rubber mask. He suspects that Jed is up to something. The vials were created by Wilo the Wizard centuries ago. They can turn a man into a giant creature. Jed takes the potion and grows to enormous size, then he chases off Aquaman.
As the giant sea monster, Jed robs a freighter carrying gold. Aquaman distracts him, while Aqualad carries the gold away to a hidden cave.
Angered that his loot was stolen, Jed traps Aquaman and Aqualad and forces them to reveal the location of the cave. He then strands them on land, about to die from dehydration.
Once in the clear, Jed takes the other potion which reverts him to normal. He removes the mask so no one can trace him. Suddenly, his boat is surrounded by fish. Aquaman survives by having sea gulls bring him water. The crook is caught, and the gold is returned.
