Synopsis:
A robot from planet ZM3 arrives on Earth as a scout for an invasion. He disguises himself as a robot created by Professor Hale in order to determine the capabilities of humans. Rip Hunter warns against building robots that one day could supplant the human race. He takes Hale and the scout robot 200 years into the future to check on the progress of robots.
In the year 2165, the robots have overthrown their human masters. The scout robot turns on the humans and turns them over to the robot rulers. However, he too is apprehended and scheduled for dismantling. Rip and his crew escape and rescue the scout, who now wants to help the humans. Working together they defeat the robots and allow humans to regain their place on Earth. Then the crew return to their own time. The scout returns to his own planet and recommends against invasion of Earth.
