Synopsis:
Rip Hunter and his crew are recruited by the government to travel back in time to find Galileo. One of the Earth's space capsules is stuck in orbit of Jupiter and only Galileo has the significant knowledge of Jupiter to bring it home.

In the 17th century, Rip and his party soon find Galileo who is hounded by the local inhabitants as a wizard. Colonel Sironi arrests both Rip and Galileo for witchcraft. Rip is sentenced to death, but Bonnie and Jeff rescue him. Rip then obtains the rest of Galileo's calculations before returning to the present. Galileo spends several weeks in jail before being pardoned, while the space capsule is safely returned to Earth using his formulas.
