Synopsis:
Myra invites Vic Sage to a seedy motel for a final sexual encounter. She tells Vic that she is going to run for mayor and won't be able to see him again. Vic then begins investigating the murders of two men killed by pellet guns. He suspects the killer is Baby Gun, the man who nearly killed him.
Clues lead the Question to Pete Carstairs, a suburban land developer. When he goes to question Carstairs Vic learns that the land upon which his community was built is a toxic dump. The two murdered men were blackmailing Carstairs, so he hired Baby Gun to kill them.
Vic goes on television to announce the danger to the community. When he returns to Carstairs he finds the developer dead from poison. He also finds Baby Gun raiding his refrigerator. The Question points out that Carstairs poisoned the food, and Baby Gun becomes violently ill. The Question drags him away, unconcerned about whether or not the killer survives ingesting the poison.
