Comments:
This story takes place in an alternate timeline ruled by Mordru where the Time Trapper never brought R.J. Brande to the 30th Century.

The date is given as November 29, 2994 in a proclamation.

Synopsis:
The death of the Time Trapper and removal of his manipulations have drastically altered the timeline. The Legion was never formed and was therefore not present to oppose Mordru. The sorcerer is now the emperor and magic reigns supreme. All memory of the other timeline is no more with the exception of Mordru's memories.

Mordru's reign in not unopposed. A small underground has formed, but they have suffered many losses. Rond Vidar, who leads the rebels, sends Andrew Nolan to meet Mysa, one of Mordru's lovers. Mysa reveals that Mordru has dropped hints concerning the existence of another timeline. Rond gathers this information and formulates a plan.

Mordru's first wife, Glorith, has Mysa under surveillance. She learns that Vidar is using Mysa to establish a mindlink to Mordru while the sorcerer sleeps. She intercedes and helps Vidar by becoming the focus of a spell that will restore key events in the timeline. However, in order for the spell to succeed, Glorith must die. Despite the discovery of Mysa's betrayal by Mano, the plan works. The spell is put into execution just as Mordru awakens.

The timeline changes again.
