Synopsis:
Laurel Kent returns the Legion Headquarters after a date with Sun Boy. She breaks into the multi-lab and begins using the computers. Brainiac 5 interrupts her provoking an attack. Laurel knocks out Brainy using super strength which she was not previously known to possess. Several other Legionnaires arrive before she can finish her work on the computer. Laurel flees.

Once he is recovered from the fight, Brainiac 5 interfaces with the computers to determine what Laurel wanted. She was accessing genealogical records. Brainiac 5 leads a team to a Buddhist temple in the Himalayas where an old databank still exists. The team is attacked by robot monks, then they find Laurel inside.

Laurel reveals herself as a Manhunter sleeper agent. Her mission is to prevent the emergence of a race of immortals which the Guardians set in motion 1000 years earlier. She was using the computer data to locate them. Element Lad creates Kryptonite, but finds that it has no effect on Laurel, who is not Kryptonian. She then commences an attack on the Legionnaires.
