Synopsis:
Ronnie Raymond tries to finish a term paper, but he is interrupted by one of his neighbors. Ronnie follows the other student outside where other students are acting strangely. A gunman attacks some of them, but is disarmed by another student. Several other kids are involved in a gunfight with paintball guns.
Ronnie becomes Firestorm and gathers the kids together. They explain that they were trying to help a behavioral psychology student with her paper. However, Max Fuller, an expelled student with a grudge, has released a deadly gas on campus that has compounded the odd behavior. Ronnie forces Fuller to reveal the cure for the gas. Firestorm then takes the students to a location where they can survive the chemical toxin. When everyone is safe he returns them to campus, then returns to work on his paper.
