Synopsis:
Batman pursues a criminal to a house in Gotham City. The gunman get a drop on the Batman, but his gun misfires. Batman then apprehends him. Commissioner Gordon recommends a vacation, to which the Caped Crusader reluctantly agrees.

Bruce Wayne boards a steam ship bound for Ireland. Along the way he saves the life of a young boy who falls overboard during a storm. When then ship stops at the Arin Islands to drop off the boy, Bruce also disembarks. He is given a place to stay by the boy's uncle.

Later, Bruce learns that many on the island including the boy's parents were killed by a red tide which poisoned the fish. Batman investigates and finds that Aloysius Cabot, a fishery owner, has been using a haunted castle to scare away the locals. He was responsible for the poisoned water. When Batman is poisoned, he is helped by the ghost of King Hugh to find the antidote. Cabot is killed when King Hugh's portrait falls off the wall and breaks Cabot's neck.
