Comments:
This story takes place in 1772.

Synopsis:
Tomahawk and Dan Hunter arrive at newly constructed Fort Chance and help to oversee its defense. When the friendly indian leader White Leggings dies, his son Little Thunder takes over the nearby Seneca tribe. Little Thunder wants power and orders an attack on Fort Chance.

Just before the attack, an indian spy sabotages the fort's water supply. The settlers are then trapped within the fort until relief arrives. Tomahawk sneaks outside, disguises himself as an indian, and sabotages the attackers. When he is caught, the chief orders that he be starved to death for five days.

At the end of the five days, relief arrives at the fort. Tomahawk is rescued, and the indians are defeated. Dan Hunter then explains that he had disguised himself as the chief and ordered Tomahawk be kept alive until relief arrived.
