Synopsis:
Danny reads about a newspaper contest which has hidden a thousand dollars somewhere in town. Danny follows the clues to an abandoned lot. He digs a hole and discovers a box of buried money. The money is not from the contest, so Danny leaves Rex to guard the box while he summons police.

While Danny is gone, crooks return to the lot for their buried loot. They get the box away from Rex, but the Wonder Dog follows them. When Danny returns with police the money and Rex are gone. Rex has followed the crooks and manages to alert police. The crooks are captured, earning Danny and Rex a reward.
