Synopsis:
The Needle escpaes from jail then plans the theft of a valuable diamond. First he has a counterfeit created, then the Needle impersonates the diamond's owner in order to swap jewels. The Star-Spangled Kid interrupts the robbery and apprehends the Needle.
With the crook in police custody, someone hands the Needle a gun. He briefly escapes before being recaptured. The Star-Spangled Kid then realizes that both gems are fake. The real one was stolen by a museum director. He gave the Needle the gun in order to cover up his own crime. The second thief is caught, and the real gem is recovered.
