Synopsis:
Jonny Double follows Doctor McJames who has stolen a valuable ruby from a museum. The private investigator apprehends McJames, then contacts the Challengers because he believes something more mysterious is going on. Corinna Stark hypnotizes McJames and learns that his daughter's soul was stolen by a ghost. The Challengers learn that the soul is kept in a small black box which they track to a castle.
Meanwhile, Deadman is also on the trail of the ghost. The magic box was stolen from his circus friend Vashnu. Deadman confronts the ghost which is actually the astral form of magician Seth Gross. Deadman possesses the astral form, rescues the girl, and returns her soul to her body. Gross is driven insane from the experience and is forever unable to return to his own body.
