Synopsis:
Tom Hawk, a frontier settler in Kentucky, strays too far from his camp and is captured by indians. He saves the life of indian chief Black Thunder and is granted his freedom. Tom instead elects to stay with the tribe and learn their ways. He soon becomes an expert in many indian skills. After spending a year with the tribe, Tom, now nicknamed Tomahawk, returns to his own people.
Some time later, Tomahawk investigates reports of an indian uprising and is reunited with Black Thunder's tribe. He finds a settlement under attack and rescues a young boy Dan Hunter, who tells him that the indian attackers are actually white men in disguise. Tomahawk and Dan Hunter then help the local soldiers capture the renegades and clear the name of the indian tribe. Dan Hunter chooses to remain with Tomahawk since his only family was killed in the attack on the settlement.
