Synopsis:
Strong Bow prevents the death of a river tribal chief at the hands of Seneca warriors. The chieftain explains that the Seneca have constructed a giant death drum on a raft and are demanding tributes from neighboring tribes. Failure to comply with their demands results in the chief being placed inside the drum where the sound will drive him mad.

Strong Bow tracks down the Seneca death drum on the waters of the Hudson River. He witnesses the Seneca chief sentence Princess Sweetwind to die inside the drum. Strong Bow is captured when he tries to rescue her and is then placed in the drum with her.

Using beads from Sweetwind's moccasins Strong Bow catches the rays from the sun and reflects them onto a single spot. The drum catches fire. He then helps Sweetwind to safety. The Seneca attack him, but Sweetwind's people come to his aid. Strong Bow then instructs the princess that she and her people should teach the Seneca the ways of peace.
