Synopsis:
When a flood strands some villagers in a valley, the Blackhawks are called for help. They can't land their jets in the valley, so the Blackhawk use an enlarging machine to cause Blackie to grow to enormous size. The giant bird is then able to rescue the trapped villagers.

After the rescue, the side-effects of the growth seem to have affected Blackie's mind. The bird begins to act like a criminal by stealing large objects. The Blackhawks refuse to attack their own pet, so they wait for the effects to wear off. When they don't the team is forced to attack. Blackhawk then realizes that it isn't Blackie, but a robot bird controlled by Bird Banks. Blackhawk tricks Banks into revealing where the real Blackie is held. The robot bird is then destroyed, and Blackie is set free.
