Synopsis:
Ray Palmer is struck by an experimental device that placed him is a state of paralysis. A side effect gives him limited telepathic abilities which enable him to pass a message to Jean Loring. Without her understanding, Ray gets her to activate the size controls on his invisible atom costume. Ray then shrinks out of sight.

At microscopic size, Ray regains the ability to move. However, he knows that if he returns to normal size, he will die. The Atom soon locates a subatomic world and helps a group of peaceful farmers overthrow a race of conquerors. In the process he is exposed to radiation which cures him. Ray is then able to return to safely to normal size.
