Synopsis:
The CIA contacts the Atom concerning a gang of spies who appear to be stealing ideas from scientist Dr. Loring via telepathy. Atom locates the man suspected of stealing the secrets and attempts to follow him. On the way, the man is ambushed by hoodlums. Atom is forced to reveal himself in order to rescue the spy. However, the hoodlums and the spy are working together and succeed in capturing the Atom.

Atom awakens in a glass cage with his size-control belt removed. The spies force Atom to battle a housecat. They hope to force him to reveal how the size-controls work. Atom defeats the cat without chaning size, then uses his hand-controls to increase the weight of the size-control belt. The spies are taken by surprise, and the Atom finishes them off. He also learns that Dr. Loring's secrets were not stolen by telepathy. They were transmitted to him by the spies in order to lure the Atom into the trap.
