Comments:
This story is continued from World of Krypton #2 and continues in part in World of Krypton #4.

Synopsis:
Van-L has recruited a doctor and fellow survivor of the war for clone rights. Together in Kryptonian warsuits they attack the stronghold of the new Black Zero which threatens to destroy Krypton. Van-L learns that the leader of this group is Kan-Z who was responsible for starting the war a thousand years earlier. Kan-Z triggers a bomb that will be sent to Krypton's core and will destroy the planet. Van-L uses his warsuit to destroy the bomb before it can be released. The stronghold is destroyed. Van-L is injured, and the doctor lays dying. He then realizes that she is his old girlfriend Vara who was disfigured in an explosion centuries earlier.

Generations later, Jor-El watches these events on the history imagers. His father Seyg-El returns home with two distinguished guests. Jor-El can't pull himself away from viewing his planet's history in order to greet them. Finally his father pulls him away from his study. Jor-El is then informed that he will be matched with the granddaughter of one of the guests, Nara. They were selected as genetic matches and will be expected to produce a child. Nara's granddaughter is Lara whom Jor-El finds beautiful.
