Comments:
This story continues in part from Swamp Thing #76.

Synopsis:
John Constantine has exited his own body while the Swamp Thing occupies it. In astral form we returns to England where he watches the Resurrection Crusaders offer up Zed to an angel. She is rejected due to the taint which John places upon her. As a result the demon Nergal rejoices.

Then Nergal discovers that the Swamp Thing has mated with Abby in order to give rise to the next elemental. In doing so, the prophecy Nergal was trying to prevent is fulfilled. He tries to take his vengeance on John who flees into the Green, then back into his body. Abby is horrified by John's sudden reappearance.

John, now back in his own body, returns home to find his apartment trashed by Nergal and his housemates murdered. John digs through the rubble to find a file labeled Newcastle 1978.
