Synopsis:
When Jeb Stuart is wounded, he begins raving about the ghost of General Stuart. His crew can't see the ghost and think Jeb is hallucinating. General Stuart reflects on how he joined with Jeb and began serving as his guardian.
When Jeb and his crew got their first tank, the General watched. Though the men fought bravely their tank was lost. They then took another tank, but it too was destroyed in battle. General Stuart still had misgivings about serving as Jeb's guardian because he was a yankee. When the crew marched across the desert of North Africa to lead the enemy away from their lines, the General was finally convinced of their worthiness. He has aided Jeb ever since.
Jeb recovers enough from his wounds to retake command of his tank. The doctors still think he is crazy for seeing ghosts, but Jeb's crew trusts him. Jeb leads them back into battle where they destroy an enemy tank.
