Synopsis:
The Phantom Stranger is lured to the home of Broderick Rune where he becomes trapped in a mystic pentagram. Rune then collapses. Rune's assistant Rashid rushes both men to the hospital where Dr. Ferret transplants the Stranger's heart into Rune's body. Rune now believes himself to be immortal.

Despite his new heart, Rune is haunted by dreams and visions of the Phantom Stranger. He eventually leaves the country to escape, but the Stranger's spirit follows. Rashid holds a seance where the Phantom Stranger manifests. Rune flees, but eventually collapses from the panic and strain on his heart. Rashid and Dr. Ferret find Rune's body which is missing the heart.
