Synopsis:
Katar and Shayera complete their final patrol before being sent to Earth in pursuit of Byth. Katar pays a visit to Kanjar Ro, an administrator he has hired to help the downsiders. The alien has made little progress. Katar then visits D'Shar at his clinic. Katar's friend Hommy is now running with Bladebat and his gang. Katar tries to help, but Hommy pulls a gun on him. Shayera then kills Hommy. Shayera then joins Katar on his trip to Earth with orders to spy on her partner.
