Synopsis:
Buddy survives the bombing of a nightclub. He tries to contact his children, but Ellen has a court order which forbids it. Buddy then takes Cliff and Maxine out of school and drives them across the country. They are pursued by the Notional Man. The villain kidnaps Maxine. Buddy tries to rescue her and kills the Notional Man in the process. Maxine tells him that he is not her daddy.
Buddy prepares to return the children, but first he stops at a church. While Buddy is in prayer, another Animal Man comes crashing through the window.
