Synopsis:
The Suicide Squad continues their rescue mission of Sister Agnes Martinon who is now being held by Colonel T'Kaki, the head of an army for an East African nation. Bronze Tiger, Ravan, and Nightshade infiltrate the enemy camp where the nun is being held captive. Outside, Vixen and Shade are waiting with the rest of the Squad. The villains decide to revolt. However, when they begin their attack on their overseers, the Duchess turns against them, belting Captain Boomerang and Doctor Light. Her actions bring the villains back in line and the rescue mission concludes. The nun is rescued, but one member of the Squad, Shrike, is killed in action.
Back in Washington, Amanada Waller uses the positive press from the successful rescue and the Squad's involvement in Earth's defense during the Invasion to cut a deal for the Squad's continued operations. She agrees publicly to step down as the head of operations. J. Danfield Kale is instated as the new head of the agency. Waller then reveals to the team that Kale is a fraud. She is covertly maintaining control of the team.
