Synopsis:
Swamp Thing travels back in time to an era before mankind existed. He meets the original three members of the Parliament of Trees. The communicates with them and discovers that they possess all his memories. After the encounter, Swamp Thing finds a river bed where there exists a quantity of amber, it sends him even further back in time.

When he arrives there is no amber bed, and therefore no way to continue his journey. The Parliament does not exist yet either. Swamp Thing sits down and allows his mind to grow. He considers the knowledge he has gained and the purpose. Eventually, he created Yggdrasil, the first of the Parliament. He also believes begins to see time in the form of a tree with the deepest roots being the past and the branches the present.

However, this world remains in upheaval. A nearby mountain becomes a volcano, and it wipes out the Swamp Thing.

Back in the present, Abby is ready to give birth to her child.
