Synopsis:
Batman escapes from Mr. Whisper's death trap inside the Gotham Cathedral. He then attempts to stop the 300 year old killer from unleashing a deadly plague upon Gotham. Their confrontation leads to a subway tunnel. Mr. Whisker is hit by a train, but he is protected from death. Batman fights him off and prevents the plague from being released. Mr. Whisper escapes, but he finds the devil waiting for him in the body of the burning nun, one of his first victims 300 years earlier. Whisper is sent to hell.
Later, Batman receives a package containing Whisper's heart. He takes it back to the drowned monastery in Austria and throws it into the water. He hopes the death of her tormentor finally allows the burning nun her peace.
