Synopsis:
When a rare painting is stolen, Slam Bradley signs up for an art school course to find it. He does this because Ape Gorky, a member of Max Schmeer's gang is in the class. Max's mob try to scare Slam away, but they fail. Dauber, the instructor of the class, claims Gorky is a dedicated artist and shows Slam some of his work. When Schmeer tries to buy one of the paintings, Slam solves the case. He and Shorty make short work of the crooks, then Slam finds the stolen painting which was covered by Ape's painting. Dauber stole it and enlisted Max to help move it.
