Synopsis:
Highfather is torn between staying with Beautiful Dreamer to help her give birth or to go rescue his son from Fyre and the Dark. He decides to leave Dreamer with her husband Big Bear. He then leaves with Barda to find Mister Miracle.
When they arrive at the designated meeting place, Highfather goes in alone. Mister Miracle and the other members of the Forever People are held prisoner. They watch as Fyre beats Highfather. Scott is reminded of beatings he suffered in Granny's school. He becomes enraged and breaks loose. Then he frees the Forever People and together they defeat Fyre's servants. Fyre flees.
After the fight, Scott realizes that Highfather could have beaten Fyre at any time, but he held back. They return home to find that Dreamer has delivered her daughter Maya. Scott and Highfather then talk over their issues. Scott expresses his bad feelings about being sent to Darkseid. Highfather explains his own feelings of loss. Finally, the Forever People and Highfather depart, leaving Scott to wonder what happened to Oberon.
