The Day of the Krypton Man Part VI
Synopsis:
The Kents arrive in Metropolis. They find Kal-El in Clark's apartment packing. Kal-El declares that he has given up his Clark Kent and Superman identities in order to honor his Kryptonian heritage. He appears emotionless, but the Kents manage a breakthrough when they point out that he is packing old photographs. In order the show the Kents the logic of his decision, Kal-El brings the Kents to Antarctica.
In the Fortress under the Antarctic ice, Kal-El shows them holograms of Krypton and briefly provides some history. When Jonathan points out that Jor-El questioned Kryptonian custom and specifically sent Kal-El to Earth, Kal-El begins to question his own resolve. Then the Kryptonian battle armor and robots attack. Kal-El realizes that they are being controlled by the Eradicator, just as he himself has been. He protects the Kents, then destroys the device and throws it into the sun. Kal-El resumes his roles as Superman and Clark Kent. He believes Krypton will live on through him, but only on his own terms.
