Synopsis:
Cameron Scott takes a job as a soldier for hire. His mission is to retrieve the son of his employer who has joined a group of freedom fighters battling communists in an unspecified Central American country. Scott and his team locate the boy soon after their arrival, but they are too late. He is already dead.
Scott joins the fight and meets up with Plastique who is fighting for the other side. Scott decides that he has had enough of the war, so as Captain Atom he will put an end to it. A news crew films the action, as Captain Atom tries to end the war.
Back in America, Wade Eiling worries that Captain Atom's actions will expose the entire project. Amanda Waller dispatches Nightshade to reign in the super-hero.
