Synopsis:
Adam Blake was born on a night when a comet passed through the night sky. His parents soon discovered that Adam possessed amazing powers and intellect. However, Adam's abilities caused him to be reclusive. After discovering that he possessed telekinesis as a young adult, Adam approached Emery Zackro to discover the extent of his powers.
Zackro tested Adam then gave him a purpose in helping to perfect a machine that could create gold from sunlight. After Adam fixed the machine, crooks tried to steal it. Adam used his powers to defeat them, even stopping a bullet with his mind.
A short time later the Earth is menaced by giant spinning tops which are destroying the atmosphere. Even an atomic blast is unable to stop the devices. Adam traces the tops into space. He modifies a test plane into a spaceship and discovers an alien ship behind the moon.
Then alien ship is controlling the tops. Adam boards the ship and is confronted by Harun, who intends to make Earth the new home for his people. Adam points out that the aliens in suspended animation are all dead anyway. Harun then throws himself out the airlock to his death. Captain Comet then returns to Earth as a hero.
