Synopsis:
Superman visits the Farnum and Beatty Circus in search of Brainiac. At the circus, he finds that the Brainiac performing there is not Milton Fine, but a replacement. As he is leaving, an earthquake strikes the area. He helps to round up the loose animals and repairs the power lines before moving on.
In Metropolis Jimmy Olsen visits Professor Hamilton. Jimmy has lost his hair following the genetic surgery performed on him by Cadmus. Hamilton examines Jimmy and determines that the surgery was a success. He expects Jimmy's hair to grow back soon.
Then a lightning strike shorts out Hamilton's equipment. Jimmy disappears. In his place, Husque appears. The alien leaves the lab and seeks Superman. Hamilton tries to follow, but a massive storm stops him.
Superman returns to Metropolis to find the city partially flooded. He helps to rescue people trapped in the streets, then rushes off to help more.
