Comments:
This issue is the first appearance of the post-Crisis Etrigan. The post-Crisis Etrigan is considered to be entirely independent from his Earth-1 counterpart. One key difference is that in the pre-Crisis Etrigan and Jason Blood were the same entity as shown in Demon #1. However, in the post-Crisis reality, Jason Blood is a human bonded to Etrigan as shown in Demon #5 and therefore a distinct entity. Therefore, Jason Blood's post-Crisis appearances will be listed as a separate character.
This story continues in Demon #2.
Synopsis:
Glenda follows Jason Blood to England after discovering a picture of the demon Belial who resembles Etrigan. When she shows the book to Jason, a spell prevents him from seeing the picture. They summon Etrigan, who can't see the picture either, but the Demon tells Glenda to go to Ireland to find a book in the tower of Daganbrack. When Glenda and Jason enter the tower, a strangler demon named Clutcher attacks, forcing Jason to summon Etrigan again.
