Synopsis:
After shooting down a British dirigible, the Enemy Ace meets the Hangman in the skies. Their battle takes them into the path of a storm. Both planes then crash into the ocean. The Hangman rescues Von Hammer and takes him as a prisoner.
The Hangman brings Enemy Ace to his home and treats him with honor and respect. He gets a doctor to fix Von Hammer's wounds and assigns a nurse to care for him. Although they fight on opposing sides, the two pilots hold each other in high regard. However, the Hangman's sister Denise clearly despises Von Hammer.
When the Hangman takes Von Hammer horseback riding, he informs his foe that he will soon be turned over to a prisoner of war camp. Denise's horse goes wild. Von Hammer saves her life, then he makes a break for the airfield. Enemy Ace steals a plane and makes his escape. The Hangman pursues, but Enemy Ace flies into a formation of planes similiar to the one he is flying. He fires on them causing them to scatter. In the confusion, he is able to flee back to his own country.
