Comments:
This issue is the first appearance of the post-Crisis Booster Gold. Though his adventures appear to be a direct continuation from previous issues, the post-Crisis Booster is considered to be entirely independent from his merged-Earth counterpart who appeared in issues #1-9 and met the pre-reboot Superman.
This story continues in part in Booster Gold #11.
Blue Devil and Wayne Tarrant are seen briefly on page 17 inside Blue Devil's truck.
Synopsis:
Booster Gold and Trixie stop at a restaurant for dinner where Booster nearly tells her that he is from the future. Before they can finish their conversation, a fire breaks out at a building down the street. Booster helps the trapped victims escape the building, then is assaulted by three robots sent by the 1000. The robot test Booster's limits and relay the information back to Senator Ballard, the Director. Before the robots are defeated, their masters learn that Booster's power levels have dropped since his arrival.
After the emergency has been handled, Booster speaks to reporters. Trixie storms off, followed by Dirk Davis. She is then kidnapped by agents of the 1000, who already have Dirk's daughter as a hostage. They demand that he deliver Booster's computer codes and that he remain quiet about the kidnapping.
