Synopsis:
The Warlord's quest to find the black unicorn stalls when he is attacked by a plant creature. Scarhart has followed him and is about to deliver the killing blow when a group of bird creatures attack. Scarhart is pinned by one of the creatures. Morgan throws his sword like a javelin and kills it. Scarhart then frees Morgan from the plant, though he originally was trying to kill him.
Morgan and Scarhart then pursue the unicorn together. They cross paths with the Kaash'ban and enlisted their aid in locating the beast. The unicorn is trapped in a bog. Morgan tries to pull it out, but he is weakened, having also contracted the plague. Scarhart shoots the beast, killing it.
The Warlord is angry. His only hope of finding a cure died with the beast. However, the Kaash'ban believe there is another way. Scarhart seems immune to the plague. After probing the hunter's memories, they learn of a pool of healing waters. With the last of his strength, Morgan is led through the magic mirror to Scarhart's world. He retrieves the water. The water heals Sharkira, Jennifer, and Morgan.
Shakira and Scarhart then join the Kaash'ban.
