Synopsis:
Dr. McNider speaks before the members of the Clean Government Society. Racketeers working for McNab intend to sabotage the meeting and create a panic. Dr. McNider sees them in the darkness backstage and goes into action as Dr. Mid-Nite. After stopping the crooks, the meeting finishes without further incident.

After the meeting, Dr. Mid-Nite releases the crooks and follows them back to the city mayor. McNab is blackmailing the mayor. Dr. Mid-Nite breaks in and captures the gang. The mayor helps him and is wounded in the process. Following the incident, the mayor confesses to past deeds with which McNab was using against him.
