Comments:
This is the Sandman's final Golden Age appearance in his original costume.

Synopsis:
The Sandman is contacted by Dian Belmont to help Gay Thompson. Gay's brother, an ex-con, has threatened to kidnap her son and steal her family diamonds. She wants to stop her brother without her husband finding out. Sandman tries to swap the diamonds for fakes, but Gay's husband Fred interrupts him. Sandman gasses Fred, then returns to meet Gay.

Fred follows the Sandman and sees him meet Gay. Before the situation can be explained, Gay's brother breaks in and steals the diamonds. Sandman pursues the crook while Gay explains the situation to her husband.

Gay's brother then kidnaps his nephew. Sandman prevents his getaway, then saves the life of the child. After the crook dies in a shootout with police, Sandman returns the boy and the diamonds to Gay.
