Synopsis:
Al Pratt applies for a job as a reporter. He is told to bring back a human interest story. He then meets Henry Jones, a poor man who publcly despises gamblers. Jones is kidnapped by racketeer Faro Mike. Faro plans to frame Henry for the murder of his rival Cue Bonomo. Al follows the kidnapper as the Atom and interrupts the attempted murder. Henry helps the Atom bring down Faro. Atom then helps Henry get a job at the newspaper, but fails to earn one as Al Pratt.
