Synopsis:
Swamp Thing is attacked by the residents of Limbo, North Carolina. While the battle is fought, Harry Kay abducts the young girl who was rescued earlier by Swamp Thing. The muck monster follows Kay, but he is led into a trap. Kay anesthetizes Swamp Thing, then brings him to a facility run by the Sunderland Corporation.
Swamp Thing is held prisoner by a man named Grasp. The man demands the secret biorestorative formula. When Swamp Thing does not comply he orders the death of Casey before beginning a dissection of his prisoner. Casey has mental powers which enable her to overcome Kay and free Swamp Thing. The facility is set on fire while Swamp Thing and the girl flee. Grasp tries to follow, but he falls to his apparent demise. Swamp Thing then hitches a ride on a train bound for Rosewoood, Illinois.
